Roberts Nathan is an accountancy and business advisory services practice based in Cork and Dublin. Our offices are based in the central business districts of both cities. Our team has been growing since it was first established in 1997, and we currently have over fifty staff members working between both offices. We have a number of graduate opportunities within the firm for ambitious, dedicated individuals who wish to kickstart their thriving careers.

Graduate Programme

The Candidate

The successful candidate should have:

  • Achieved or are currently on target for a 2.2 honours degree or higher from an Accounting, Business, Finance or related discipline
  • Willingness to learn and desire to work towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, ITI, ATI or similar)
  • Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment
  • Ability to deal with problems and deliver solutions
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft Suite of products (MS Excel and Word)
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

This position will allow successful candidates to progress within our growing and developing firm. The role will enable them to gain valuable experience, working with a wide selection of domestic and international clients across a variety of industries to progress their future careers.

Graduate Trainee Chartered/Certified Accountants

Our graduate trainees will become fully qualified Charted/Certified Accountants once they complete their training programmes. During their training programmes they will:

  • Develop an understanding of our clients and their businesses
  • Complete audit programs and form conclusions on each individual test and section completed
  • Highlight issues and problems
  • Become familiar with our audit software
  • Resolve queries whether of an audit or accountancy nature
  • Attend a range of internal training sessions, including industry experience and soft skills
  • Work as part of a team to undertake a variety of audit and accountancy tasks for our diverse client base
  • Understand from your manager the scope of tasks allocated and objectives to be achieved
  • Keep seniors and managers fully informed of any issues and problems, ensure work is completed to a level agreed with the manager, record clearly and concisely the work completed.

 

Graduate Trainee Chartered Tax Advisors

Our graduate trainees will become fully qualified Chartered Tax Advisors once they complete their training programmes. During their training programme they will:

  • Be responsible for preparing tax returns for individuals and corporates and deal directly with clients on a daily basis.
  • Liaising with Revenue on behalf of clients and assisting with Revenue aspect queries.
  • Liaise with audit & accounts department on tax compliance matters.
  • Manage compliance workflows in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assisting management with various advisory projects.
  • Attend a range of internal training sessions, including industry experience and soft skills
  • Work as part of a team to undertake a variety of different tax tasks for our diverse client base
  • Understand from your manager the scope of tasks allocated and objectives to be achieved
  • Keep seniors and managers fully informed of any issues and problems, ensure work is completed to a level agreed with the manager, record clearly and concisely the work completed.
